Plastics Slip Sheets
The benefits of Plastic Slip Sheets over pallets
Plastic slip sheets are sheets of thick plastic with a 3-6 inch lip (commonly referred to as a pull tab) on one or more sides. They are handled using specialized push/pull attachments mounted on forklift trucks.
REPSCO works exclusively with Cascade QFM Push/Pull units. The rugged Cascade QFM can be installed or removed in less than one minute and does not require removal of the lift truck forks. Ideal for applications requiring an attachment for slip sheets on an intermittent or irregular basis.
REPSCO plastic slip sheets present a cost-effective, environmentally friendly substitute for conventional wood pallets and fiber slip sheets.
These sheets are crafted from predominantly recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE), making them a sustainable choice for replacing or complementing wood pallets in logistics and storage settings. Offering double the strength of fiber sheets, REPSCO’s plastic slip sheets stand out as a durable, recyclable solution to minimize shipping and storage expenses.
With an approximately 85% lower cost than wood pallets, they demand less space for both storage and transport, leading to significant reductions in transportation costs. Additionally, they align with REPSCO’s GREEN & GOLD initiative, promoting recyclability within a closed-loop system.
Slip sheets work best for merchandise with a heavy uniform case pack, products which “cube out nicely"

Home Depot, one of the pioneer companies in slip sheet usage. They have been used successfully in the food and beverage industry for more than two decades. Because they’re moisture and bacteria resistant, plastic slip sheets are ideal for ocean-bound container shipping.
Facts about Pallets Vs. Slip Sheets
6% of total US lumber production (and nearly half of the hardwood production) is consumed in making pallets.
Eliminating 11 wood pallets from your supply chain saves a tree
Non-toxic industrial waste runs over 7.6 billion tons per year in the U.S. alone
The USDA requires pallets to be bark and pest-free.
25 countries have designed environmentally friendly packaging requirements, and over 30 require packaging reporting and levy disposal fees.
Germany holds all shippers responsible for the disposal of any packaging material, effectively eliminating the use of one-way pallets.
In 2005 the USDA implemented the international standard for wood packaging material that was approved by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC). The IPPC standard calls for most wood packaging material to be either heat treated or fumigated with methyl bromide in accordance with the Guidelines and marked with an approved international mark certifying that treatment. This rule affects all persons using wood packaging material in connection with importing goods into the United States.
